Then Waves Premiere
THEN WAVES premiers next week in Canton, Ohio, under the direction of Craig Joseph. Here is an article about the production from CantonRep.com.
IRIS at Red Eye
This spring Red Eye in Minneapolis commissioned me to write an adaptation of a Charles Mee piece from the (re)making project. The result is a new play called IRIS, adapted from IPHIGENIA 2.0, that will premiere at Red Eye in Minneapolis this October, directed by Steve Busa and with dramaturgy from Sarah Slight. I will post updates and ticketing on this site when they become available, so keep in touch using the mailing list, by RSS, or with Twitter.
Once IRIS premieres I will also post the full text online here, where presently you will find links to the original IPHIGENIA AT AULIS from Euripides (in translation) and Mee’s IPHIGENIA 2.0.
DOWN: A FABLE Video
DOWN: A FABLE was included in this year’s Works-in-Progress series at Red Eye. Red Eye gave us a key to the space for a six month period so we could work on the piece and perform a fifteen minute excerpt of it, which we did this June. Ben McGinley provided most able videography, and one of the performances is archived here.

Here are still performance photos by Dwayne Williams from the recent production of the excerpt from DOWN: A FABLE in Red Eye’s 2010 Works-in-Progress series, featuring Joanna Harmon (SUE), Julie Kurtz (BAD MONKEY), and Stephen Pearce (HORNED MAN). THE ANIMALS were Reginald Edmund, Chris Engelhard, and the playwright.
